Lighthouse Poetry

Bright and beautiful
Amazingly vivid and
Radiant in the moonlight.
Navigating lost ships
Embankment to the shore.
Gallantry leading the sailors home
As it makes an aqueduct for ships
Thankful the sailors make it to their destination.

So bright
that light
in the
day it
doesn't stay.

Standing alone all night,
The light comes on and shines bright.
The ships search for the rocky shores,
Looking for the lighthouse they hoped for.
They spot it through the waves
At last the sailors are saved!

Light guiding our plight
Help us find the way tonight
Please keep us in sight.

              Laura Gabrielson

Tall and on the shore
Always, always bright.
Helps the ships come in
and find the way.
Always in site.

Beacon's light
so bright
show me
the way
in the
dark night.
