This site is brought to you by seventh and eighth grade students at Stanhope Public School.  Stanhope students will be working with other schools in their study of lighthouses.  Information will be added about each school.

This site will be updated as students submit their writing about these unique structures which, through the years, have remained sources of inspiration to sailors, artists and other dreamers.
Our teacher:  Mrs. Meyer

The first lighthouse for which a detailed account remains was the great Pharos of Alexandria, considered one of the SEVEN WONDERS OF THE WORLD.
